Hewascontentedbecausehewaswealthy，andwealthybecausehewascontented。OnedaytherevisitedthatoldPersianfarmeroneoftheseancientBuddhistpriests，oneofthewisemenoftheEast。Hesatdownbythefireandtoldtheoldfarmerhowthisworldofourswasmade。
Hesaidthatthisworldwasonceamerebankoffog，andthattheAlmightythrustHisfingerintothisbankoffog，andbeganslowlytomoveHisfingeraround，increasingthespeeduntilatlastHewhirledthisbankoffogintoasolidballoffire。Thenitwentrollingthroughtheuniverse，burningitswaythroughotherbanksoffog，andcondensedthemoisturewithout，untilitfellinfloodsofrainuponitshotsurface，andcooledtheoutwardcrust。Thentheinternalfiresburstingoutwardthroughthecrustthrewupthemountainsandhills，thevalleys，theplainsandprairiesofthiswonderfulworldofours。Ifthisinternalmoltenmasscameburstingoutandcooledveryquicklyitbecamegranite；lessquicklycopper，lessquicklysilver，lessquicklygold，and，aftergold，diamondsweremade。
