  andtheyhaverecoveredbytheinfluenceoftheclimatealone。
  Itmustalwaysbeborneinmindthattheclimatenearthecoast,fromwhichwereceivedsuchveryfavorablereportsofthehealthoftheBritishtroops,isactuallyinferiorforpersonssufferingfrompulmonarycomplaintstothatofanypartnotsubjectedtotheinfluenceofsea-air。
  Ihaveneverseenthebeneficialeffectsoftheinlandclimateonpersonsofshatteredconstitutions,norheardtheirhighpraisesofthebenefittheyhavederivedfromtraveling,withoutwishingthatitsbracingeffectsshouldbecomemoreextensivelyknowninEngland。
