  Thetravellersaidhewassurehewouldbe,andwecouldseethathehadtakenalikingtoLeon,forhewentwithhimtothebarntohelpdothemorningfeeding。Theystayedsolongmothersentmetocallthem,andwhenIgotthere,themanwastellingLeonhowfoolishitwasforboystoliveonafarm;howtheyneverwouldamounttoanythingunlesstheywenttocities,andaboutallthefuntherewasthere,andhowniceitwastotravel,evenalongtheroads,becauseeveryonefedyou,andgaveyouagoodbed。Heforgotthatwalkinghadmadehisfootlame,andI
  couldn’tsee,tosaveme,whyhewasgoingtospendhismoneytobuyafarm,ifhethoughtatowntheonlyplacewhereitwasfittolive。
