  Motherswhisperedtotheirchildren,"Donotdrinkall,savealittledropwhenyouhavedrunk。"Andwhentheyhadcollectedallthedregstheyslippedthecupsoutunderthebottomofthecurtainwithoutliftingit。

  Therevelsgrewhigher。Mendranktilltheycoulddrinknolonger,andlaytheirheadsuponthetablesleepingheavily。Womenwhocoulddancenomoreleanedbackonthebencheswiththeirheadsagainsttheirlovers’
