Theyrealizedhowtheyhavebeenhandicappedbytheirpoormentaltools。
Thatiswhytheysay,"AllmylifeIhavebeenhandicappedbylackofproperpreparation。Don’tmakemymistake,children,gotoschool。"
Theyoungpersonwithelectricalgeniuswillmakeanelectricalmachinefromafewbitsofjunk。ButsendhimtoWestinghouseandseehowmuchmorehewillachievewiththesamegeniusandwithfinerequipment。
Getthebesttoolsyoucan。Butrememberdiplomas,degreesarenotaneducation,theyaremerelypreparations。Whenyouarethruwiththebooks,remember,youarehavingacommencement,notanend-ment。Youwilldiscoverwiththepassingyearsthatlifeisjustoneseriesofgreatercommencements。
